Arlington is the seventh largest city in the state of Texas. The city is situated at the northern part of the state between Dallas and Fort Worth. The city was founded in the year 1875 and derived its name after General Robert E. Lee's Arlington House. The city covers a total area of 256.5 sq. Km. A tributary of the Trinity River, Johnson Creek flows through the region.
