General Information:
The largest Syrian city, Damascus is also the capital of the country. Damascus is also considered o be one of the oldest cities of the world, which has been inhabited continuously since the time it had started being developed into a city. The city of Damascus is located at a distance of 80km from the Mediterranean Sea and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains shelters the city and it is situated on the southern bank of the river Barada.
