General Information:
Layoun is a beautiful oasis town in Morocco in the North Africa. It was built by the Spanish government in 1938. This artificial Spanish town was occupied by the Moroccan troops later on. The Moroccan government developed the town's infrastructure by building hospitals, schools, parks and modern high rises. The town is well known for its phosphate industry. The population of the city is 93,875 according to 1982 census. The climate is Mediterranean with mild winters and warm summers. |
